Dear Fox Fitness Member, For nearly five years, this gym has been a meaningful part of my life, and I know it has become meaningful to many of you, too. I wanted to share this with you personally, because today marks the beginning of a new chapter for a place and community I care deeply about. I’m excited to officially share that I have purchased Fox Fitness Club from its owner, Scott Boates. Many of us have used the gym to get stronger, rebuild confidence, recover and work through some of the hardest seasons of life. And some members have had to say goodbye because life took them somewhere else, only to tell me how difficult it was to leave. I don't take that lightly. I know how special this place is because it's been special to me, too. Honoring Where We Came From I also want to take a moment to acknowledge the history of this gym and how we got here. Before Fox Fitness, there was Lola's Gym, owned by Jim Smith, who I had the privilege of running the gym with. Before Jim, there were other owners, other chapters, and countless members who walked through these doors and helped shape the community that exists today. I had the privilege of getting to know this community through coaching at Lola's, and I saw something here that was worth preserving. What you might not know is that the origin story of Fox Fitness started in the garage of a rehab center during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The brand was originally called Fox Recovery Method, with a mission of helping people in addiction recovery and those navigating mental health challenges build strong bodies and strong minds through fitness, in conjunction with clinical treatment. That mission is still part of who I am, and it's part of what I want Fox Fitness to represent: a safe place built for you to pursue the healthiest version of yourself, inside and out. When Jim retired this year, I was working full-time as the Deputy Director and on-call doctor of psychology at a 40-bed addiction treatment facility. I wasn't ready to walk away from a career I had spent more than a decade building, and the gym was able to continue in a Fox Fitness brand partnership with Scott. I've since made the decision to resign, and make Fox Fitness my full-time commitment. To those who have been here for years, who remember Lola's, who have watched this place change, and who have continued to show up through all of it: Thank you. I don't want to erase that history. I want to honor it while carrying the gym into its next chapter. WHAT THIS NEXT CHAPTER MEANS This is your neighborhood gym, and I intend to keep it that way. I also want to make Fox Fitness better by investing in our facility as revenue permits, including upgrading equipment, improving aesthetics, keeping the gym clean, and making thoughtful improvements that make a difference. This also includes bringing in additional trainers, expanding the ways we can support our members and local community, and continuing to build out the recovery work that has been part of the fabric of Fox Fitness from the beginning. But I also know that the most important parts of Fox Fitness can't be purchased or renovated. You are what makes this place special. I don't want to change the heart of Fox Fitness; I want to protect it. MEMBERSHIP PRICING In an effort to keep the gym sustainable and also uncrowded compared to traditional gyms, there needs to be an adjustment to membership pricing. The gym has not had a membership price increase in three years, while the cost of operating and maintaining the facility has continued to rise. Effective November 1, 2026, there will be a $5 price increase on all memberships. There will be no increase to the annual maintenance fee. However, members who currently have a lower annual maintenance fee will be moved to the standardized $75 annual fee. If you would prefer to have your annual maintenance fee rolled into your monthly dues, please reach out to me personally. These changes will allow me to continue investing in Fox Fitness and build the kind of member experience I believe you all deserve. Thank you for trusting me with this place. Thank you to the people who built the chapters before me. And thank you to the members who have continued to believe in this community through all of them. I'm honored to be here, and I'm incredibly excited for what we're going to build together. With gratitude, Dr. Robin Fox, PsyD, ACE-CPT Owner & Founder, Fox Fitness
